創作背景：

這首歌是台灣填詞人李焯雄根據張愛玲的小說《紅玫瑰與白玫瑰》所填。講的是每個男人心中都有兩個女人，一個純情，一個風騷，而紅玫瑰象徵風騷。「也許每一個男子全都有過這樣的兩個女人，至少兩個。娶了紅玫瑰，久而久之，紅的變了牆上的一抹蚊子血，白的還是床前明月光；娶了白玫瑰，白的便是衣服上沾的一粒飯黏子，紅的卻是心口上一顆硃砂痣，」出自張愛玲的小說《紅玫瑰與白玫瑰》。《紅玫瑰》的粵語版歌曲是《白玫瑰》。
